Grainne McAnallen, CFA
Leadership Coach and Systemic Consultant
Grainne has worked as a leadership coach and systemic consultant since 2007. Prior to this, she spent twelve years working as an analyst and portfolio manager in the hedge fund business. She applies a systemic lens to challenges, zooming in to look at the immediate circumstances of a specific challenge and zooming out to take account of all of the other system dynamics impacting on the situation. She works holistically, taking account of both visible and invisible dynamics i.e. working with what can be observed, as well as what is going on beneath the surface. Her work focuses on bringing unconscious dynamics that are keeping individuals, teams and organisations stuck in repeating patterns of behaviour into conscious awareness. Her goal is to start a movement towards a new way of showing up by shifting the belief systems, thoughts, and emotions that are anchoring the individual, team, or organisation in a certain way of being. When these hidden dynamics shift, change programmes, which largely focus on visible dynamics, have a much greater chance of success. Grainne has worked with senior leadership teams in listed businesses and at C-suite level, as well as with fast-growing businesses and not-for-profits. She has a particular interest in shifting cultural beliefs in organisations about the potential of women to progress to senior level.
